Exactly.

While I don’t know what happened to this film, I can tell you:
1. This isn’t normal, and
2. Leaving film in a camera for 8 years is going to do really awful stuff to it, regardless of the film. Sometimes you get lucky and can pull images off super old film, but most of the time (the stuff people don’t post on Reddit) it looks really bad like this.
