i purchased a da-yi roll film back from ebay. It seemed like a good idea at the time but when i got it i realized that it wont fit in my camera. I have a linhof tk45 and i also tried it in a sinar non metered back. the spring action of the back wont open enough to let it in. am i doing something wrong? It seemed like a good choice becase it was simple, sheap and did multiple formats,6x6,6x9 and 6x12. are their other backs that fullfill these same needs that might work better, i saw the sinar roll film back but it is really expensive and all the other roll film holders only work in one format, i think. The 6x12 format is the most important to me. I was thinking i could get another linhof ( im sorry i dont know the proper name ) grafloc back like mine and modify it to fit the roll film back, but switching between the back with the ground glass and the part with the film might change the focus, anyways any help would be appreciated, thanks you guys are always great!

You did figure out that you have to remove the groundglass panel to use the rollfilm back, yes? This is how is works, and you do focus with the groundglass before removing the panel and attaching the rollfilm back. It will be in register, just as if you were using a regular filmholder.
