I just pulled my negs out of the wash(35mm) and notice they have a golden brown stain, simalar to a pyrocat stain.
This seems to only happed when i push tri-x or hp5 with minimal agitation.
It is not a "overall" stain, but rather on the developed areas of the negative.

I don't think it's a stain, just brownish tone to the silver. I noticed it yesterday when I hung two rolls of APX100 next to each other to dry. The one developed in Ilfotec HC looked almost blue compared to the Rodinal one.

Except for the developer, treatment was the same: Develop, 30 sec wash, 4 min fix in Hypam 1:4. Everything with continuous agitation on a JOBO CPE2.

You shouldnt develop with rodinal in a jobo for sharpness(or lack of a lot)
EDIT: the brownish tone has gone with fixing

Marko, I don't use Rodinal for the acutance effect - there are far better developers for that. I used Rodinal simply because it's convenient, cheap (a bottle lasts a long time), and available (I have a bottle). Most of the time I use the Rodinal for MF and LF films, where the acutance wouldn't do much difference anyway - there are other developers I like better for 35mm if I can be bothered to make them.

The colour difference I described is real, and persisted after fixing, washing and drying.
