Hi - I'm putting this up here, as I thought someone might could comment, or might know something about this tripod.

I picked up a "Rocketfish" carbon fiber tripod at a flea market a couple weeks ago for 10 bucks. I thought at first that this was just a toy that looked something like a good tripod and not too much risk with the low price. After a closer look when I got it home though, this appears to be a REALLY NICE carbon fiber, three section tripod. It's seems to be just about as well built and right on par with my old Bogen 3221 'standard issue'. It's all done up in nicely finished magnesium (or maybe aluminum) fittings and leg locks with all the appropriate adjustments. It had a nice cordura zipper case and a pan-tilt head on it, but the head was missing the QR plate and that's what brought me to post this...

Anybody ever hear of Rocketfish? I have seen some stuff at Best Buy like phone batteries and other miscellaneous and unrelated stuff, but that's it. This is really a nice tripod and I'm trying figure out if I want to keep or sell and wondering what it might be worth.

Any ideas?

Oh, sure enough! It just occurred to me to look on the Bay after posting this and there it is! Looks like it's pretty common and goes for about $100.

It's still pretty dang nice though, even if it doesn't say "Gitzo" or the like - guess I'll just count it as a decent flea market find backup tripod...
