Just received as a gift Robin Bowman's book It's Complicated: The American Teenager; hundreds of b/w Polaroid portraits, wonderful work, moving interviews with her subjects (who were fascinated by her vintage Polaroid camera - some great interactions). Has anyone else seen her work? Check it out at http://www.robinbowman.com/. I got mine online for about $40, Amazon has it for less. Recommended as much for families with teens as for the photo work.
Thanks for the tip. Very rich photographs. I may get a copy so I can also read the text.
I find it interesting that 100 years ago, such a book would have made no sense. These people would have been young men and women (which is how I see them), not "teenagers."
