Just returned from London where, I'm very glad to say, I made time to see the This Is War! show at the Barbican.

I'm very familiar with Capa's work - suffice to say it's always worth looking at good prints on a wall, rather that books, when you get the chance. Great original prints of great honest war photography.

Taro's stuff wasn't as sensational as some people say, but several pictures were outstanding. Dead Link Removed for instance. She really brought a unique eye to war photography.

The delight of the show to me was re-discovering the work of Dutch photographer Geert van Kesteren. I ran out of time so could not spend as much time looking at his part of the exhibition as I'd have liked to, but this guy's good. Probably digital though! Gasp!

Get down there and have a look if you're in London, if you haven't already. And if you have, what did you think? There's a great reading room too.

Cheers, Paul.
