I recently purchased a Rittreck View camera with 4x5 back in pretty decent condition. The only problem it really has is the bellows need replaced (a common issue with these cameras, I've heard). I did a search and didn't find any hints, tips or videos on replacing them.

There's a vendor on the big evil who sells replacements. Just want to know what I'm getting into before I tear into it.

Anyone ever replace them or know where I can find any info on how to do it?

Bellows are attached to camera standards by bonding (glue) or small nails on wood standards or by screws on metal standards. Interchangeable bellows cameras use slide locks to secure the bellows.
Your camera uses either the bonding or screw method. Screws are usually concealed behind the rear most and front most pleat of the bellows. Some times the front standard attachment is the lens board lock screws.

Do some investigation or post some detailed pictures of both sides of the standards.

it's pretty standard and easy. they are glued and screwed. you can buy them with the front mounting frame already attached (you'll have to send back your old frame after the operation) which saves some time and avoids the most complicated part. as far as I remember there were no tricks.

Anyone have any links to videos of the actual process? It looks like the rear is just glued, but the front appears to be glued and screwed somehow.

I managed to remove the old bellows and give the old beast a good cleaning. Now, just need to get the money together for the bellows!
