Reading about Rimaldas Vikstraitis I am not impressed by Martin Parr's stupid comments on his work.

Martin Parr says 'They are quite compelling, and if I spoke Lithuanian, I would love to join in the party.'
What party? Tragic work showing the sadness, neglect, alcoholic dismay and economic deprivation. I don't question that Vikraitis' work is fine and from an interesting perspective. But Parr stating that he discovered him and the Arles prize will change his life I find faintly disgusting. An exhibition in Mayfair, London, so us rich westerners can ooh and ahh over the fotos and think how lucky we are. No thanks!
