I picked up an Olympus Varimagni 90 degree angle finder for my OM-G and it is absolutely magnificent.

I want to take my Canon AT-1 and/or FTb out for a spin and do some macro work with it since I don't have a macro lens for my OM system (and Zuiko lenses got real expensive real fast, once the digital world got wind that they adapt to DSLRs really well). Will my Varimagni fit the AT-1 or FTb?

If not, it looks like I need a "Type S" style angle finder. A little reading revealed that Minolta made angle finders that were less expensive than their Canon counterparts but still fit Canon FD style SLRs. I'm seeing Minolta Vs and VNs on a popular auction site for around $20. Will these work if the Varimagni does not?

I asked such myself for some time, though on a more general approach. And just started a thread on this here:

The minoltas are a prism, not just a mirror like the varimagni. I have both. I believe they should fit canon directly, after removing the eyecup. At least they do on the EOS bodies. I could part with the Minolta or the Varimagni if anyone needs one.

The Zuiko 50mm f/3.5 macro seems to be reasonably priced in the market.
I also have OM extension tubes and a neat Vivitar Macro tele-converter in OM mount that works really well.
