Hello,
I'm selling my recently CLA'd Ricohmatic 225. This is a great camera in very good condition. This was Ricoh's best TLR. It has a very sharp lens, and like the Minolta Autocord, the film is loaded from the top guaranteeing film flatness. The film meter even works, although it is usually off by a stop and only really works well in fairly bright light. A separate hand held meter or another camera should always be used to guarantee consistent results.
Also, the 225 comes with the ever rare Colorback 225 35mm adaptor kit! I have used the kit to run a couple of 35mm rolls and it works fine. The lens which is a normal lens for 120 film becomes a slight telephoto (80mm) for 35mm.
I had Karl Bryan do the CLA about three weeks ago. He is an expert on Ricoh TLRs and Minolta Autocords. The only thing he did not fix was the 35mm film counter (the round dial that surrounds the film crank lever), I was told that the part that it needed was very rare and not really worth it to fix. The normal 120 counter works as it should.
The lens is clear with no mold or fungus, the aperture blades are clean, and the shutter blades are as well, and the shutter speeds are accurate.
I have printed out the instruction manual for the 35mm adapter kit and I do have the original instruction manual, but it is starting to fall apart.
$330 includes shipping in the continental U.S., additional charge for outside the U.S.
