I have two RBT X2IIs, which are siamesed Ricoh XR-X3000s, that are in need of repair. One has a shutter that only fires on a single fast speed, and the other freezes up after firing the shutter. I can't find anyone who works on Ricoh film cameras. Looking for recommendations.
It's difficult to find specific repairers for 90s cameras with a lot of electronic parts, especially models that were off-brand or not super famous. I haven't been able to find the service manual online. You might try contacting Ricoh, maybe they could at least point you to something.
Ricoh's US website directs one to Precision Camera in Enfield, CT, which is apparently also where Sony directs American customers for repair. However, their Yelp reviews and reviews on photo forums are atrocious. Breaking cameras, months long radio silence, extortionate prices, etc. I'll try contacting Ricoh of Japan.
