Recently, I've noticed my XR2S' light meter has been acting off, after shooting a frame, the meter would keep running until I advanced to the next frame. didn't think much of it until earlier today, when the meter spontaneously started jumping all over the place, before giving me weird readings and not changing even when I changed lenses and pointed it directly at the sun. does anybody know what's going on and what/if I should do to fix it?

I'd try a contact cleaning, also removing and replacing the lens. I'm not an expert in Ricoh repair, so if it's not something simple, the meter may be going bad. The good news is that the XR-2s is super cheap to replace, cheaper still if you buy the Sears version, the KS Auto.

*Fantastic* camera, by the way -- I own two. It's my go-to knock-about camera.

I did try changing the lens, and the same thing happened as well so I'm sure it's the meter. Money's going to be tight for a while so I'm going to have to hold off on a replacement/ repairs
