Ricoh GR possible problem found for not turning on?

I recently acquired a broken Ricoh GR (2013 model with the bigger sensor) and decided to try repairing it. After following a disassembly video on YouTube I discovered an unconnected cable and a broken of one as well (as shown in the images attached).

I'm not good with electronics, and even less with the way a camera functions. I just wanted to ask if you think repairing these two things might fix my problems, or if somebody else tried repairing the camera and just left these things broken after opening it. There a brun mark where the one cables soldering came of, so I guess someone tried resoldering it, but wasnt successful.


Any advice would be welcome.

I think that these two wires can be soldered back in place. Use only rosin core solder. Take the time to learn to solder and to detect a cold joint [it looks dull gray, reheat it and the joint will be properly soldered/]

Yes, I can see that as well. Looks like somebody's been working on it who doesn't have a lot of experience with soldering stuff. By the looks of it, they failed to properly tin the stripped black wire, which might be the reason why it broke loose again.

Use only rosin core solder.

Not in a literal sense, though. Use flux-core solder alright. Rosin-core is inferior to modern flux in several ways, including the residue it'll leave on the PCB that will be hard/impossible to remove. Technically it's OK, but no reason to resort to it in the presence of superior alternatives.
Having some flux paste around is also a good idea. NOT plumber's flux, but proper electronics soldering flux.
