Just acquired a Ricoh FF-70 in an almost mint condition.
Question: there ain't no on/off button on the camera... if I take off the batteries I lose the info regarding the film running inside.
Is there something I don't get??
Thx for answering ^^

It’s actually a great design. I was recently looking at a P&S camera at a flea mkt. Price
seemed good but I couldnt find the on/off switch. The lens had no cover. I then noticed the track below the lens where a cover was meant to slide. So somehow it had been snapped off! Suddenly the price was terrible..

almost mint for 15$ CAN
very cool acquisition, so far
but if you take off the batteries (2 AA) you lose track of the shot number, so someone is forced to keep the batteries in until the film is completely shot

Those Ricoh P&S rigs have very good lenses. However, they often develop electronic issues.
