Richmond VA....I've fallen down the Rangerfinder Rabbit hole!

One of my sons neighbors asked if I liked old cameras...I said sure and I was instantly the proud owner of a bag of Cameras.

Turns out some of it was pretty darn cool!


Konica C35
Minolta Hi-Matic 7sII
Zeiss Ikon Contaflex
two nice little modern point and shoot 35 MM units.

The Minolta needed a shutter button and the battery wire re soldered.

I've run 1 roll through the Minolta and the Konica.

The contaflex has a sticky shutter and is slow to close. It is a lovely piece on my shelf though!


Then I got on FB marketplace and ended up with:

Hi-matic 7
2 Hi-matic E

The three appear pristine so I've got some batteries on order and will shot a roll in each. I figured I'd fake it with lower ASA until I confirm they work then try to get something that meters correctly for a battery.

Looking forward to learning more about these little cool cameras.
