Just a note: Long before Lomo, Nancy Rexroth broke on the art scene with her Diana images in the 1970s. Her book has now been reissued on its 40th anniversary:

Wonderful book. It should be said that Rexroth wasn't the only serious photographer working in the toy camera idiom in the 1970s, but she is one of the better known ones.
