Hello I have the chance to get an enlarger from revue with the model number 2004 but don't know anything about it, I can't seem to find a manual online or even decent images. Would it be able to print 6x6 negatives? Is this a b/w enlarger or color? Should I pick it up for my first enlarger or wait for something else?

thanks

Never even heard of a Revue enlarger. (But we likely were the only family that got no Quelle catalog in house...)

Only advise I can give is to look through old Quelle catalogs.

It's 6x6. It looks like a very basic enlarger, there is one offered for 25€ at ebay Kleinanzeigen right now, two offers in total. You might run into problems when you need spare parts or the offer is incomplete. A more common brand might be a safer buy.

Any suggestions what I should take in consideration when picking it up? The plate-holders where the negatives go in should be complete right? anything else?

I picked up the enlarger,i paid 10 euros for it, here are some pictures. I guess the 6x6 frame is missing and no filters but the bulb works and there is a lens. I can't complain for that price. Is this a DUNCO? or where would I get a 6x6 frame? Should I build myself one?

Yes, it is a west-german Dunco.
I was not even aware of this model. With the brand Revue I actually expected an enlarger from a Comecon country.

For printing 6x6 you also need an 80 mm enlarging lens, not only the mask.

I cleaned yesterday the whole enlarger and it seems like it is very solid and got taken care of from the previous owner, any suggestions for a 6x6 lens?

Glass carrier and masking blades. Those are very desirable features!

Depending on how large you intend to enlarge, up to 11X14 (of course inches) a good 4 element 75 or 80mm, if you plan on 16X20 then a 6 element lens. Is the lens mount 39mm? But once you get a lens take pains to make sure the enlarger is in alignment. No matter how good of lens you get if the easel, lens, negative carrier is in alignment wont matter, some part of the print will be out of focus. .

I was able to obtain the original manual from this nice gentleman, he also gave me carriers for pocket films. I don't want to butcher them but I will probably have to destroy one of them and make a 6x6 carrier since I didn't find one yet. I attached a scan of the manual.

As I said it was made by Dunco.
The original designation was Dunco DC 66
