Reversing a contact print

Contact print hanging out to dry

Question about contact printing.........I guess theres no way to turn it around so its facing the correct way??

If you've printed with the emulsion in contact with the paper (which is the 'correct' way), then the printed image should face the 'right' way. If you flip the negative then the print will reverse too, but get a little bit less sharp because the emulsion is now slightly separated from the paper.

(I use inverted commas around "correct" and "right" because they are technically correct and right, but not necessarily aesthetically correct and right.)

Assuming, of course, you had the film in the holder the right way.
Of course, if you had the film backwards in the first place, your result would be much, much different!!!

the other day ...
i put the paper in my contact frame backside front and printed through the paper onto the other side..
( by mistake )
it took very little time, and worked
