I got away from APUG for awhile with the distractions of life but now it's time to return to the fold.
I'm a New Englander (hey papagene!) living in exile in MD. My vocation is atmospheric physics and my avocation is nature photography although I have been branching out with a more photojournalist slant trying to document field campaigns I participate in. Little attracts attention better than photographing an aircraft full of cutting edge science instruments with a 60 year old MF folder. I hope to turn images from the last campaign into a show later this year when I have some time.
Welcome back, Steven! I myself am a transplant to New England—moved up here at the end of 2007. This is probably the most homey part of the country I've experienced since the Chesapeake Bay area. My grandmother lived in Rock Hall, a small town a few miles away from Chestertown.
