Hello all,
I started out with a Kodak 110 camera around 1980.
After a few years, it was set aside due to other interests. I had a brief stint with a P&S HP 3.0 MP digital in 2002. I had been saving all my photos to the HDD (Win'98 SE); one day the Blue Screen of Death occurred....... All my images were lost!
I was so disappointed, all interest in still photography was gone.
Other than camera phones (which I only used reluctantly for work purposes), I eventually got a Galaxy S5 mobile device. Being so easy to operate, I found myself using the camera on it much more, but finding out later that the images fall short if enlarged too much and no zoom capability.
A co-worker mentioned having an SLR that needed a new home. A few weeks later (and some negotiation), it was mine!
So here I am, seeking the wisdom of the more experienced and hoping to learn more about analogue photography and what it takes to get phenomenal shots; also maybe dabble in some B&W photography.
I shoot mostly landscapes, architecture and animals.
