Speaking of Minolta products, I understand that Hasselblad's Acute Matte focusing screens were made by Minolta. Has someone else taken over their manufacture, or are 500-series Hasselblads doomed?

I saw this over on the LFF and thought I'd post it here as well. It seems that Kenko is bringing back a few of Minolta's hand held light meters. I always regretted not getting a Flash Meter VI. I may get the chance again, although with a Kenko label. :D

Great news that these products will be back in manufacture. Thanks for letting us know.

Yes, 500 series Hasselblads are doomed. But not because of focusing screens..rather because they have stopped making the cameras. But don't worry, there are enough used ones on the market to last for several decades. There may still be some new ones also...but the only Hasselblads that are being manufactured are the ones made by Fuji..the H3.
