I'm not a collector but I just got this because it's so darn interesting. 550 pictures of cameras over 280 pages. It would be fun to have a dedicated shelf of some of these. Unfortunately, having moved around the country over the years, I've "decluttered" some old film cameras and now I wish I'd kept them! 😭

I felt the same way when I picked up this similar book a few years ago.

Years ago I discarded a Brownie box camera from the 1930s, a folding Autographic from the 1920s, a Rolleiflex, and a Nikon F among others. I'm still kicking myself.🙄

I'm wary about books like Retro Cameras, the works of Todd Gustavson, and Bellamy Hunt's (aka "Japan Camera Hunter") Film Camera Zen. lest they give me ideas!
