I have looked up all the conversations and tips on retaping film holders and have a pretty good idea of what sort of tape to get, etc.

Just now I bought a batch of used Linhof ones, and have checked out the conditions; I feel sure that they are quite serviceable; after all I have used ones which are a lot tattier. Examining them, most of them have tapes which are still good, one of them needs regluing with contact adhesive, that worked out very well.

One of them definitely needs a new tape, and by sheer chance, it's also the only one held together by screws rather than rivets. So it is all apart now waiting for a few inches of tape...

Another one seemed to have been retaped, but with a thick tape and that interfered with the smooth opening action, and the wire that holds flaps in place is exposed at places, looks like another candidate for retaping too. But it is one which is held together by rivets, and I still cannot quite figure out how to take the flap assembly out.

It must be forehead-slapping simple, I am sure; how do you do that?
