Dann,
Here is a biographical info written for his personal website which unfortunately does not function:
"Living in The Big Apple for last decade of passed millennium, Alex Leykin born 1947 still cant help admiring this one of the greatest cities in the world. All his excitement and admiration is truly expressed in his shots and Sketches of New York. The greatness and romantic poetry of The City obtained a vivid reflection in images of its skylines, majestic city sights and beautiful spots of Central Park. The Author believes these last years to be the most productive and creative period of his life. However, back home in Ukraine, Alexander Leykin is well known among artists and photographers of the highest professional level. He was one from the group of artists, headed by famous Ukrainian artist and designer Anatoliy Gaidamaka. They founded and performed the decoration of several literature and historical museums in the Ukraine and Moldova at the Soviet period."
He is currently retired. All of his remaining prints now belong to nyart.com. Soon (within two to three weeks) there will be a category 'silver gelatin' where all available prints by him will be displayed for sale.
Currently most of his best images are available as matted and framed giclee prints in Art - Photographs category (color, b&w and sepia).
