Nice, very nice!

Nice to see interest from a national network and nice to have a little warehouse sneak peek. Let's hope all the installed machines will soon run smoothly again! Keep it up!!

Thank you for sharing. We are eagerly waiting for the next big report when ADOX makes the glorious roll out of the new production of ADOX MCC 110 and ADOX Polly Warmtone .

Eagerly, indeed!

Lately, fiber-based silver halide glossy papers have become shinier and shinier, regardless of air drying them after processing. Ilford Cooltone is the worst offender, but most other Ilford papers are close behind. MCC 110 was also made more glossy some time back, but not as much more as the Ilford papers, so it's been "least bad" in this respect to my taste.

Two years ago I physically mailed Mirko an inkjet print made on a Canon PRO-100 (dye, not pigment, inks) using Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta Satin paper. It, in my aesthetic opinion, presented the optimum surface gloss balance. Shiny enough to support solid blacks, but not so shiny that viewing in average room light become impossible due to surface reflections.

My fantasy for 2021 is that ADOX's introduction of Bad Saarow-produced MCC 110 will include a top layer with glossiness identical to the sample print I sent Mirko in 2019. Or at least one that reduces surface shine from what recent production exhibited to the level MCC 110 had ten years ago.

Amazing, thanks for sharing this! Mirko is 48 and has been in this business for 30 years already, he tells that he meanwhile learned all the tricks of the trade. They are 25 workers at Fotoimpex making 6,000.000 in revenue and growing 25% a year. The fall of the Agfa was a red alert to them signaling that being a vendor alone might not be enough for them to survive.

Great! I've been to the shop in Berlin and often buy ADOX products online but never realized both were the same company. And how nice to see a shot of Lina Bessonova included; I'm a big fan of her and her video's! Please keep up the good work!

How nice would it be, in 2021, the years that Adox celebrates it's 160th birthday and 120 film it's 120th birthday to bring out some Adox film in 120

Thanks for posting. Nice to see that analog is kept alive in Berlin in such an enthusiastic and successful way.

I don't speak German, but it was fun to watch!

I was introduced to ADOX Film when I was in the British Army (RAMC) in Iserlohn, German, in 1957-58 I used to make up 'Beutler developer' in our Path Lab in BMH Iserlohn and use the X-ray Dept darkroom to do prints !
