I've been using Formulary TF-5 with good results, but I'm now at a 4 minute clearing time, which is not good at all. Can the TF-5 be replenished? I do have a new bottle of Ilford Rapid Fixer, and it says it can be replenished, but I can't find any info as to whether or not the TF-5 can be replenished. I called Freestyle, and they had no idea either way.

I have about 1200ml working solution of the old fixer, and 200ml of fresh TF-5 stock left, which is not enough to make the amount I need for my tank, hence the question.

Thanks!

Yes, it can be replenished. You might start by using the figures published for Kodak Liquid Fix without hardener. There are few customers doing it but it is being done in several places.

It was intended as a rapid economical fix for the home processor and so there was little demand for replenishment data.

a some point the silver content will of course become too much and the solution will have to have the silver removed.
