Hi. One of our mixing boxes has gotten damaged. There has been some kind of impact with the plastic on the bottom - the white diffusion bit where the light comes out. The impact has left bright spots which show up on prints!

So, does anyone know what material I could use to replace the damaged plastic? It gets pretty hot so I imagine it is something special to resist the heat.

Many thanks!

Mike

Hi Mike
The plastic at the bottom is ordinary opal perspex (acrylic), which you should be able to source relatively easily.

Some boxes have a single thick sheet, whereas others have two thinner sheets. I suspect that the choice was caused by the availability of particular sheet thicknesses at the time.

I recommend buying a sheet thinner than your original and then stacking two or more layers until you get even illumination.
