Last week I posted about a problem I was having with increased density at the edge of my film. I think the problem might be coming from the fact I use tap water in Los Angeles for my LFN rinse. I noticed the corner of the low end that hangs has the same buildup. Is there a way to remove this? I tried to remove it with a distilled water rinse with the LFN to no avail. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I process my sheets in hangers and rinse in L.A. tap water as well for about 10 minutes. I don't use photoflo. No problems. I hang the sheets on a line with paper clamps and touch the corners with a paper towel to absorb the drips for the first few minutes. Good luck

You may have to do some gentle scrubbing of the film to remove the buildup after it has once dried. If this doesn't work, perhaps film cleaner will. To prevent it in the future, try distilled water with a bit of Photo-flo as the final rinse. After the film is hung to dry, the final rinse tends to bead up in the lowest corner. This can be drained off the film by touching the corner. Dry the film in a dust-free environment
