Analog Workflow Forums (100% Analog/Traditional)That's right the thread was about the value of old analog type lenses and how their value might be affected by new cameras.
Get over it.

As Matt mentioned I was only trying to alert people who may be interested in buying some older lenses their prices may suddenly take a jump. Sorry if we walked on your lawn.
I have a boat load of old Nikkor glass. Plus some newer stuff. I love them for still work and the other stuff that is forbidden to mention.
True.
This a purely an analogue thread,
Sony has already done this with their A7 and now A9 cameras. That really released the digital crowd to go all in on old lenses. I doubt Nikon's release will have much effect for several years.
Some people can be deliberately obtuse everyone is aware that the internet is a digital medium, but this thread of this forum is specifically to discuss analogue photography there are other threads on Photrio to discuss digital matters.
Digital talks aren't smart in film forum.Hello, MF lenses were adapted on mirrorless for more than one decade already. Including Canonikon oldies.
So the fear mongering is at least ten years old. By now Chinese and other manufacturers makes affordable MF glass for mirrorless. I'd rather buy thier glass, to be honest.
I struggle to nail focus without Nikon's "digital rangefinder" focus assistance already. I can't imagine trying to get it right at f/0.95. But, that lens is already huge without autofocus. BTW, has any camera maker ever made an autofocus lens faster than f1.4?
I'd sell my old lenses to folks who think they are the grail, then invest in the new lenses. I have little doubt that these contemporary lenses are superior to the old ones in my quiver. And the adapter? A blob of translucent glass that steals light before it gets to my sensor. Yeah: right. I'd go with the new size and the benefits it gives, and the new lenses that will come.
There is no glass in FTZ adapter as far as I know. And the adapter? A blob of translucent glass that steals light before it gets to my sensor. .
In digital, all factors about processing digital image is counted, not jus Flange Focal distance. All these adapters usually do is to restore the flange distance.
No glass in FTZ adapter I believe so far!Why would there be optics in the adapter? .
