This morning I came to process with my batch of XTOL replenished that has been regularly used up until about a month ago, so I confidently put through a couple of rolls of HP5 Plus which resulted in very thin negatives.

Somewhat surprised as I've always found the XTOL stock reliable, I mixed up a fresh batch and replenished my old 2500ml solution with 500ml of freshly mixed and everything now seems back up to normal, from this I would suggest caution with a stock of replenished XTOL that hasn't been used for a few weeks.

That’s always been my worry with my Xtol-R, I haven’t had that happen to me yet thankfully. Mine sits for a similar length of time fairly often so I wonder what the difference is. I typically replenish more, 100ml versus the recommended 70ml and maybe that’s the difference. What do you store it in?

Tom, when living in Turkey I'd return to my Xtol every 6 montsha nd it was fine, I would do a check.

Ian

A roll of T-Max 400 processed yesterday afternoon after the replenishment was fine. I'm using standard HDPE containers, however the 'fresh solution' I was replenishing with had taken on a very slight yellow hue.

Replenishing 75ml per 80sq".

I have gone months at a time with my replenished XTOL without a problem. Keep the bottles well sealed.

Many batches of Xtol 5 liters that lasted 2-3 + years. One that I kept as a test for 5+ years.
Replenishment of any developer requires a higher level of attentiveness, procedure and cleanliness. Xtol can be amazingly consistent.
