Reintroduction

Though I'm not new to APUG I recently changed my username from docsfoto to my full name, Shawn Dougherty. After talking with a few people in the chatroom I realized several apugers did not recognize me until I mentioned the change. I thought it would be a good idea to reintroduce myself here.

I am a 27 year old photographer making 8x10, 4x10 and 4x5 inch black and white contact prints. I live in western Pennsylvania, about an hour north of Pittsburgh, in a town called Pulaski. I work in the tradition of straight photography but don't like to classify my work further. Of course, all my prints are for sale! I have the wrong price listed on my website(should be corrected soon). 8x10 prints sell for $125, 4x10 prints for $100 and 4x5 prints for $75. All photographs are contact printed onto Kodak Azo papers. Thanks, doc.

Just checked out you gallery. Me likey. I also use 8X10. I shoot fp-4 and soup in pyrocat-hd. Dat be de cheet mon. I use 1.5:1:200 semistand. Nice work, I wish I was as far along as you when I was 27. I'll be 57 on the 18th and your right on my butt. John

Thanks John and Alex. I only wish I had started shooting LF 10 years ago instead of one and a half. Lucky Brett, shooting with Edward Weston in Mexico when he was 13... All the best. doc
