Hey everyone,

I live in Texas and as expected it gets extremely humid and hot here. My apartment typically sits around 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm worried that this is going to cause my chemicals to not store as long. Right now I'm using Cinestills Color Simplified 1L kit, I'd like move to something this kit Fuji C-41 X-Press Kit - 5 L Processing Kit but am worried about the storage. Is refrigerating a valid way I can help keep my chemicals lasting longer or should I not worry about it and focus on making sure there is no extra room for oxygen in my bottles? Right now I use little 1L storage bottles that leave very little room for air in the bottles.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Don't worry, man.
It does not need all this concern.
This chemistry contains insulating materials to live a long time.
But if you like extra care, you can store these chemistry in the fridge.
It's okay, don't worry. Everything will be fine.

I’ve heard of people keeping it in the fridge with excellent reports.

If you do store chemicals in the refrigerator, do not use food containers or containers that look like it something to drink. Clearly mark all the containers well.

I've been worried because my last kit started having color issues right away. I'm hoping to get more than 3-4 good roles out of my chemicals this time around.

Storing the chemicals in absence of oxygen is far more important than keeping them cool. There's no need to refrigerate e.g. C41 developer (ket alone bleach or fix). But it's absolutely CRITICAL to store it in glass or PET bottles that are entirely full and tightly capped.

Careful, I used to put chems in a fridge and some will precipitate at the cold temps and don't seem to dissolve when warmed back up. I purge all my chems with Argon, and that has worked best for me.

It is Oxygen, not temperature that causes the chemical to go bad. I am saying room temperature of course.
