Reflected - Spot Light Meter

Can anyone point me in the direction of a reflected light meter that I could easily get a spotmeter attachment for? I don't need anything really fancy, just reliable and reasonably priced.

I use my Nikon F100 as a spot meter for my Hasselblad and my Speed Graphic. Does that help?

Minolta Autometer IVf or Vf have 5 degree spot attachments. Since Minolta quit selling meters, Kenko took over the line and currently sell their equivalent to the Vf under their own model number, and they have the 5 degree spot attachment as an accessory.

I have an Autometer IIIF with the 10 degree minolta spot attachment and it works well, the 5 degree would be even better. Gossen sold spot attachments for the Luna Pro and Luna Pro SBC as well, and Sekonic sold them for some of thier meters. The newer Sekonics like the L-508 with built in spot and incident meter are the best for that because they're 1 degree and the total package is smaller than a minolta with spot attachment and there's no attachment to lose, its all built in

The spot attachment for the Sekonic L-358 is pricey, so much so that you might consider a used Sekonic 508 with its built-in 1-4 degree zoom spot meter. They're plentiful on the used market and relatively affordable.

Yeah, thats what I'm looking at right now, I'm finding them right around $225. Can anyone attest to how good they are?

You can do better than that at KEH where I got a Gossen Luna Lux SBC with a case, rated EX+ for $114 US. It does incident and reflected light and for a little more money there is a spot meter attachment. Much better than $225 US and it would leave money for film.

I can. Mine is very handy. I bought it years ago for 500 euro and i never regretted that, so 225 is a good deal.

If you need something spot-capable and teensy, the Sekonic 328 had a 5 degree spot attachment that may also fit the 318. Both meters are usually available on the big auction site;however, the spot attachment isn't as common and could end up costing almost as much the meter. If you don't really need spot capability, the Sekonic 308 is near-perfect as a go-anywhere meter: small, deadly accurate, and capable of incident/flash/and reflected metering. If you're thinking of the Sekonic 358, I'd again recommend looking at a used 508 with its onboard spot meter--nearly the same size and probably available used for about the same money as the 358+spot attachment, maybe less. I was after a similar meter last year and splurged on a used Sekonic 558 and haven't been at all sorry.

I've had mine for ten years, its works beautifully and is 100% accurate, despite being beaten up constantly and being so worn looking that most of the lettering is worn off it! I'd recommend it to anyone.
