Reducing Age Fog When Processing Old Glass Negs

I'd appreciate any tips on how to deal with this situation - I'm trying out some 6.5x9cm glass negs that expired mid 1980s. I exposed & developed one plate today. Dev was Rodinal 1:100 for 10 minutes. Generally looks pretty good but there is a bit of base fog. I'm considering what approaches I can take to minimise this.

First I was thinking about adding something like 10ml of a 0.2% solution of benzotriazole to Rodinal & trying again. However I'm also wondering if there is another dev that might have some built in fog restrainer that will give a good result but be simpler. I'm thinking that adding benzo to Rodinal will also need an increase in dev time.

I have access to Aculux 3, Xtol, DDX, Diafine & HC-110 as well as the Rodinal. For example does Aculux 3 contain potassium bromide & would this be more effective than benzo & Rodinal?

When plates were common they were often processed to higher contrasts, so try the Rodinal at 1:50 or even 1:25 and add that Benzotriazole or some Potassium Bromide. Rodinal should be fine.
