Hey guys

Was wondering if any of you might be able to help me out? I'm going to be coming in from Lima with a fair amount of C41 120 film (6x7 format) that will need developing/contacts - close to about 30-40 rolls. I'd be dropping the film off on 19th April and then would be flying out of LA the morning of the 27th April. Would like a couple of days edgeways just in case I want to choose some of the images to get scanned hi-res whilst I'm over.

Could anyone suggest a lab in LA I could take my film to and feel calm and at ease about them doing a good job on it? Ideally I need all the rolls dev'd and then have useable contact sheets made of each roll. Then preferably would take the sheets back and work out which images I'd like to get either Drum Scanned or scanned on the Imacon.

I've heard good things about Weldon Color Lab (though based on services rendered years ago). Are there any others?

I'd rather pay a premium to get the best service than save a few bucks on getting a bulk discount.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

I can recommend North Coast Photographic Services near Oceanside. They have developed Tri-X 120 for me, and the negatives were immaculately clean. But no experience with their C41 work.

ICON is very good. Consistent and fairly priced in my view. They have been around for quite a long
time and cater to many local professionals in the LA area. When I lived in the Northwest I used to
send them film and they never messed up anything. Have also dropped off film when in the LA area. Nice
folks. Very professional. You can tell they take pride in their work.

All Dip n Dunk C-41. Their printing services are also top notch.

+1 for both Icon and Richard photo labs. If you have E6 as well (realize the OP asked about C41 only) the choice would be Icon.
