Reccomend a firm?

Hi all,
Can anyone who lives in the states reccomend a company I can contact to buy some 120 fromapan 100 and get them to send it to a friend in the US?
I live in the UK and I want to send hi some a a present for helping me out. It seems silly to send it from here with the extra postage.

Freestyle in Los Angeles (www.freestylephoto.biz) would be my first choice. It is a shop that primarily deals in analog supplies. They have excellent customer service and reasonable prices. They carry pretty much everything, and they also always have a lot to offer "budget-minded" shooters, such as the Arista line of rebadged products.

I emailed them and explained what I wanted to do and that was all they would say!

Freestyle is waiting on a delivery of Foma anyway so they are out of most types except 100 speed in 120.

I want to try the new T200 but have been waiting.

Alan, you could try B&H in NYC but they more than likely have a similar shipping policy.

Worth a try as they are one of the gold standards for online photo products.

B&H allowed me to order some 120 film and have it sent to someone in the US, they did verify my account but it was no big deal and was fine.

In fact I'll probably buy my next batches of film & paper from them because prices are very much lower than in the UK, even when VAT & Duty are added.

What's your timeframe? I may be working in a trip to Freestyle soon and may be able to help you out (their retail store used to be on my commuting route home, but now I've changed jobs, so it's a special trip).

You might also try asking them if you can send them a money order for your purchase--the credit card provisions are there to prevent you, and them, from getting ripped off by scammers.

Hi yes I understand the prevention of fraud. But I would think that there must be some way of compromising. Anyway not a great rush. I have contacted B&H and lets see if they are willing to help. We are only talking of a few rolls of 120 (10)
Money orders can be expensive to get here. Thats the kicker, it looks like it will be cheaper to buy the film here and ship it to the US then buy in the US!!

That would be the equivalent of giving ones wife a Wal-Mart Gift Card !

Well how about a Freestyle gift certificate?

You might have to receive it where you are, and then send it to the U.S.A., but what are your options? And then you would get that first order out of the way.
