I posted this over on Graflex.org, but this place is a little more active, and maybe someone here has a suggestion.
My cam feeler spring has come unhooked, and I don't really see how I would go about re-hooking it. It's still in the right place, and I don't think it's broken. I just don't see how I'd get the non-feeler end wrapped through to the other side and hooked on the bracket. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Yeah, I have that. It doesn't say anything about how to actually rehook it. It just says "remove housing and service spring", LOL.
I was able to figure out how to get it through without any further dismantling. I pushed the end of the spring through with a dental hook, and then grabbed it with a pair of foreceps, and then looped it around.
I spent a couple hours on it yesterday and today, and then figured it out about 20 minutes after I posted the question. Which is, kind of exactly how things always go. The big improvement to my life, of course, is that I have now moved my foreceps from my main auxilliary clamping tool box into my small device adjustment toolbox. So, the next time I forget where they are, they'll be there. But at least I didn't run out and buy another, which is a good thing. I could use some 90 degree foreceps though, if they exist.
