question for coaters ..

have you ever coated ( i mean REcoated ) rc paper with emulsion ?
i coated some rc with emulsion, and printed on it, and it worked GREAT ... except the dang emulsion
doesn't want to dry out again and it is really making me rather cranky.

heat is not friendly ...

any suggestions ?

thanks !
john

i posted too soon ...
left the paper in the garage,
for 2 hours and it was cold enough
to set the emulsion and it dried just fine.

so ... cold good, heat bad

hi madr

its kind of a long story, but i 'll cut out the middle part
over the years i have made lots of "singular" / "single edition" photographs ...
i thought it would be fun to make in-camera single images, without
having to deal with collodion, ether &c ...
so, i'm having fun with silver gelatin tintypes, and coating other stuff
besides metal and glass ...

john

It might be interresting to peel the old emulsion/coating from RC paper before recoating. It would be a hybrid RC/FB at that point.
