I have an RB67 Pro with a waist level finder and RB67 Pro back. I've recently purchased a few Pro-S backs, and would definitely appreciate being able to rely on the double-exposure prevention facility built in to the backs.

I've seen a few used Pro-S bodies that don't have any finder with them.

Can anyone confirm for me whether the waist level finder I have will work on a Pro-S body?

Thanks in advance!

Matt, I have the big heavy eye level finder but the one I use all the time is the WLF, they come in two models, a one touch, which I have, and a double action to close. The one touch or single action is extremely handy because it closes fast. When I started on a Mamiya 645 over thirty years ago all I had was a WLF, I guess I got used to it and now prefer it even though I have a new Prism finder with meter for the 645. With the RB I'll be using the WLF and my Pocket Spot. Good luck luck with the system.

Double exposure prevention???

I'm not an expert on the Pro or the Pro S, but I think that the Pro S backs will not give you double ex. prevention on the Pro. They will work ofcourse as the backs and view finders are interchangable. I have never seen anything where it was written that you could have D.E. prevention on a Pro by just installing a Pro S back. Maybe so, for your sake I hope you are right. Ric.

Thanks everyone.

Just for clarity, the reason I am asking is that I would like double-exposure prevention.

I understand that double-exposure prevention is unavailable with the RB67 (irrespective of back type).

I also understand that double-exposure prevention is available with RB67 Pro-S backs mounted on RB67 Pro-S bodies.

I have the RB67 Pro-S backs, but don't (as yet) have an RB67 Pro-S body.

I am trying to determine if I get just a Pro-S body (with focussing screen, but no finder), whether I can I use my current waist level finder on it.

I believe they can and I would recommend getting a Pro-S body, they are relatively inexpensive and you will have the Pro as a back up body. Go for it!
