The answer is likely that I'm SOL and have to send it in, but on the off chance that there is some benevolent force in the universe here goes. The light baffle on my RB67 isn't lifting with the mirror. It's not lifting at all. It's not a lens issue, which would be the easiest to solve, as it doesn't lift without a lens attached. Is there a simple fix for this? Full disclosure, it took a tumble in a padded bag, but that shouldn't have been an issue. Right? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, especially if it doesn't involve a costly repair. Thank you kindly.

After cocking and triggering the body, can you manually (gently!) push the baffle up with a finger from the film side? If so, does it work better on the next cock/trigger cycle?

Seeing as the unspoken/written consensus is that I'm screwed, does anyone have a repair shop recommendation? Or want to loan/sell me a Pro S/D body? I'm in the "middle" of a personal project and have neither the time, or honestly money, to be without a body for long. In the case of a loan happy to put up collateral. Thank you kindly.

I'm not convinced this isn't an easy fix, but I don't know enough about the internals of the ProS to say for sure. Hence why I left it alone after you confirmed you can manually lift the baffle but that doesn't help.

That's fair and I appreciate you. If someone with more knowledge than you or I chimes in before I send it off, great. If not, it made me get creative about a workaround (6X7 roll film back for my Speed Graphic ) for not having a working RB. The shooting experience won't be the same and I'll have to make some modifications for what and when I'll shoot, but it does me I'll get to see how my Ektar glass renders on films I wouldn't otherwise be able to.

Understood. I've got a Century and all my 120 roll backs are communal between that and my RB67 ProS. 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7, and 6x9 (the latter produces a 6xalmost8 image on the RB). And 35mm in the 220 6x7 RB back, of course...

Reach out to @Mamiya_Repair - he may be able to either give you advice or give you an idea about cost for repair by him.

@Donald Qualls one day I'll get around to running 35mm through my 220 back.

@MattKing, following the same advice above, I did. He suggested I send it in. It'll run me about what I expected for sending it in, doesn't make it hurt any less.
