RB67 Prism Finder Battery Size.....

I have two prism finders for my RB67. One has the capability of metering light, one doesn't.

I know how to hand meter light, but I would like to play with my prism finder that can meter.

Anyone know what size and qty of batteries it takes?

Thanks, but the finder does have a battery chamber. I'm looking at it.

I just unscrewed it, and it looks to hold (2) hearing aid size batteries. Just not sure what voltage I should get.

My camera body hasn't any place to hold batteries that I've seen as well.

I can't find a model number stamped on it anywhere. I see the on/off switch, The two dials on the side fstop/shutter with a window in it for ASA, battery compartment, and that's pretty much it. I bought the whole kit from a guy who used to use it back in the day.

I bought the camera, 3 lenes, two prism finders, 3 backs, and some filters, along with a suitcase to haul it all around in. I've had it for approx 6 months now.

WTF? Why answer when you don't obviously have a clue? There's no battery in an RB67.

If it's the old CDS finder, it probably takes 2 easy-to-find 1.5v S-76/M-76 button cells, same as this one from the same period:

If it's the newer PD finder, it takes a 6v SR-44.

I think mine is a lot older prism finder than those in those images.

I'll contact the fellow I bought them from, and will ask him today.

There weren't that many from the old series that took batteries--the chimney finder pictured and the metered prism like this:

Doubt it took other then 2 MS-76 cells.

That looks like my one. Common as muck lr44 or a76 I think they are called. Ten places within ten miles of here sell them so I am sure you will have no trouble

The battery centre at my local supermarket has plenty of them, as does the local pharmacy

You shoud look for the S76 or MS76 as these are silver batteries whereas the A76 are alkaline.
While the alkaline will work the silver will work better for meters as they discharge.
