Hi, I bought a RB67 Pro SD which is in very nice condition, the Pro S back has a defect and they offered to send me a replacement. So I have this broken one here. I downloaded the repair manual. I opened up the top cover and took off the round dial with the numbers on it but I cannot see what is going on ....

Anyone that can shed more ideas?

The film winds fine, the number 1 does not show up and for a couple of winds of the lever it doesn't come to physical stop.

Cheers.

Oddly. Or not. 3 in 1 oil is too thick and will also dry. Watch oil is the recommended product. Even that shouldn't be sprayed anywhere near a camera.

Hmm seems like there is a service manual online somewhere - but if you have the replacement back no problem at all stripping down the bad one and cleaning with solvent or lighter fluid and carefully reapplying a dryer lubricant - even three in one oil will work however long term perhaps some gumming - depends on what you have handy or are willing to pickup
