I picked up some grip equipment from someone the other day and they have an RB-67 for sale as well. Kind of beat up but the price reflects it.

Anyway the seller claims the film advance stop does not work and that it is a common problem for the RB's. Does anyone know what causes that and what the fix is?

Thanks for the replies. I was pretty sure the advance/stop mechanism was all in the back. I've never really played with MF stuff before.

Remember one thing: once you start playing with MF there is NO way back......
But it's fun !

Thanks for the reply archphoto. That's what I'm afraid of! I want something to bridge the gap between 35mm portability and 4x5 quality.

I think due to money concerns I'm going to let this deal pass me by for now but I do appreciate all the replies! MF will come soon I'm sure

Well, I bought it today! RB-67 with eye level finder, 127 and 90mm lenses, and a 120 back. I already fixed the back; very simple fix wasn't really "broken" at all. Took it apart and found the door was not contacting the lever that initiates the film advance dial/stop system. Turned out to be nothing more than a missing screw for the top cover that was allowing the door to slide under the lever.

It's got it's share of battle scars but works flawlessly. For $175 I'm not complaining!

Thanks again everyone for the replies. Now I have to buy some film for it...
