That's saddens me.
I only discovered him a couple of years ago, but what an eye

Same with me! And I really like his work. His books it seems are all out of print and expensive though I did nail one for $28 on Amazon right after I viewed his work for the first time a few days ago.

the landscapes one if beautiful and the cityscapes also

I ordered the one titled "Unknown Territory", which I thought was quite ironic but very appropriate based on the fact that I've never heard of this fantastic photographer before.

(I should clarify a bit, I've heard the name but for some reason never remember viewing his photographs before.)

"Light Lines" is the one I own - seeing it in a gallery bookshop was my first introduction to him and it took me nearly two years to track down a copy I could afford, but it was worth it.

Took me awhile but I got to like his landscapes. I saw them in a couple shows and finally picked up the book. RIP.

I'm thinking maybe 2006 I attended an exhibition titled "Voyage of Discovery" at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Over 100 landscape photos by Metzker. Great stuff, he will be missed.
