Raw Chemical prices

Anyone have any idea why prices at B&S are twice or more than PF, i.e. 500g of metol is price $110 at B&S and 1lb is $35.95 at PF?

There's a lot of variation, and it pays to shop around. Also try artcraftchemicals.com. They are often the cheapest, I've found.

Also check http://www.techcheminc.com/index.htm. They have Kodak Dimezone among other things. Good source of basics such as sodium sulfite is www.chemistrystore.com.

THanks for the tips. I'm still trying to figure out if I should order in the US for cheap and have it shipped overseas for $$$, order UK for €€€€€€€€€€ and save on shipping, or wait to order US and bring it over myself. Has anyone travelled international with 10lbs of powdered chems in your check-on baggage? I've travelled with PF packaged chems but this is a whole 'nother level. I have visions of being strip searched with border patrol yelling "I know you have another package of metol in there..."
