Really? I have now and have had in the past many, many XAs and XA-2s. I have never seen or heard or read in Olympus literature aboute this flash. Of course, my memory is probably not perfect, but even a Google search turns up nothing except mention of the usual four flash models.
Can you please direct me to some information about the A12?
hello? Very rare. A12 flash was NEVER MANUFACTURED. This one of a small hand full of prototypes. the ones sold in stores were A11s. I didn't think I'd have to say that. Olympus may have been a little liberal in their output rating. John, www.zuiko.com
Yes. A9M (came with XA-1), A-11, A-1L (with built in 6V lithium battery) , and A-16. The reference I was making was that most likely the A12 interior is much like or same as A11. After thorough testing, they may have felt the flash was overrated power-wise. They changed out case and released it as the A11. Here are pics again, so people don't have to clickalink.
