Very Rare Vintage DALLMEYER 4B Lens for sale - 6000 $

In perfect condition, very clean.

For Wet Plate Collodion Photography.

The rear and front element are in best condition - Glass very clean

No cleaning marks, no haze, no fungus.

Soft focus. Especially for portraits.

Yes nice looking lens. Some Dallmeyers have pretty extreme values. There's a 50/1.5 Leica thread Dallmeyer on eBay right now at an asking price of $54,000 (not a lens of mine regrettably).

That's one on my wish list.

Aside from my lust for that lens, I'm surprised by the rendition of that red wall in the wetplate images. I would have thought it would reproduce much darker.

Nice plates and lovely model...

There must be something in the pigment that is highly reflective of UV light - maybe there's some dark blue in there....
