Almost impossible to find a 400mm lens that will work with the limited bellows on Graflex SLR and/or Speed Graphic cameras.
Somewhere I've got an 8X10 neg or 2 done with this little jewel of a lens. No, not as sharp as a G-Claron, but what a sweet look it has. Did someone say PORTRAITS! With the Graflex!! This little lens would be ideal for that task.
Indeed, that's probably what it was conceived to do. Flange is only 2 1/2" across edge to edge, so it'll fit on the goofy little teeny Graflex lensboards with room to spare. AND!! it only needs about 9" of bellows to focus. Sweet.
This one has a ding in the front light. Whoopee. Plus it was originally coated, and much of the coating is gone. Neither item will cause much if any loss of quality. The ding is blackened. 2% loss? I doubt it, but, maybe.
Ever seen one before? Hard to guess a value. I think it's worth $285 bucks to someone with a short bellows that wants to do some lovely portraits.
