And then there was this moment. I was walking down one of the "hallways" that extended away from the barn/arena. On my left were stalls with cattle. On my right, a boarded fence. And down at the end of this hallway was a young lady sitting on a chair, her legs resting on the wood, backlit by a strong light. To capture this image, I needed to be quiet, to be unobtrusive, to work with available light. I needed a lens to capture the nuances of light and film to record the wide luminosity range. This was a moment made for a Leica, my 35mm Summicron, and film.
