Bezerkeley,
1 What is the difference between K2PtCl4 and K2PtCl6 is one preferred over the other?

2 I’ve read an older thread about Ammonium Citrate with the Dichromate (in the dev) method and I’m wondering if anyone has tried this? And which dichromate would I use?

3 Does stain dry down…or would it be fog?

4 My PO developers are turning blue…is this normal? And it seems to be the two I have the most Pot dichromate in, while the two others are kinda green…I guess. All have a PH of 5-6.

5 Is Sullivan’s “cold bath developer” cold in tone or is it used cold and can this be used with dichromate in the dev?

Thanks in advance everyone.

The difference between the K2PtCl4 and K2PtCl6 is the oxidation state of the platinum. The B&S solution is the K2PtCl4, I believe. Dick Arentz mentions the K2PtCl4 when he describes the metal salts and how to make the solutions in his book.
